The ADP Employment Report Trick or Treat Surprise is 130,000 Jobs

Happy Halloween!  ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report have given us all a fright with a gain of only 130,000 private sector jobs for October 2013.  The scary October surprise continues as ADP revised September's job figures down by 21,000 to 145 thousand jobs.  This report does not include government, or public jobs.

ADP Employment Report Shows 166,000 Private Sector Job Gains for September 2013

ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report shows a gain of 166,000 private sector jobs for September 2013.  ADP revised their August job figures down by 17,000 to 159 thousand jobs.  Since the government shut down will cause the BLS September jobs report to not be released, below we compare BLS job figures to the initial ADP release.

ADP Employment Report Shows 176,000 Jobs for August 2013

ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report shows a gain of 176,000 private sector jobs for August 2013.  ADP revised July's job figures down by 2,000 to 198 thousand jobs.  Overall, August shows same ole, same ole in the ADP job figures.  This report does not include government, or public jobs.

 

ADP Employment Report Says 200,000 Private Jobs Added in July 2013

ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report shows a gain of 200,000 private sector jobs for July 2013.  ADP revised June's job figures up by 10,000 to 198 thousand jobs.  Overall, July shows improvements in the ADP job figures.  This report does not include government, or public jobs.

 

ADP Employment Report Shows 188,000 Private Jobs Added in June 2013

ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report shows a gain of 188,000 private sector jobs for June 2013.  ADP revised May's job figures down by 1,000 to 134 thousand jobs.  Overall, June shows some modest improvements in the ADP job figures.  This report does not include government, or public jobs.

 

ADP Employment Report Shows 135,000 Jobs for May 2013

ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report shows a gain of 135,000 private sector jobs for May 2013.  ADP revised April's job figures down by 6,000 to a measly 113 thousand jobs.  Overall, May shows another month of more weak job figures.  This report does not include government, or public jobs.

 

ADP Employment Report - A Lousy 119,000 Additional Private Sector Jobs for April 2013

ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report shows a gained of 119,000 private sector jobs for April 2013.  ADP revised their March job figures down by 27,000 to 131 thousand.  February's tally was revised down by 39,000 to a total of 198 thousand private sector jobs gained for the month.  This is the weakest monthly ADP reported private sector job growth since August 2012.

ADP Employment Report Shows 158,000 Jobs for March 2013

ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report shows a gained of 158,000 private sector jobs for March 2013.  ADP revised February's job figures up by 39,000 to 237 thousand, yet January's tally was revised down by 38,000 to a total of 177 thousand private sector jobs gained for the month.  This report does not include government, or public jobs.

 

ADP Employment Report Shows 198,000 Jobs for February 2013

ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report shows a gained of 198,000 private sector jobs for February 2013.  ADP January's reported 192,000 job gains were significantly revised upward by 23,000 to 215 thousand.  Trade, transportation and utilities was the big winner with 43,000 private sector jobs gained  This report does not include government, or public jobs.

ADP's proprietary private payrolls jobs report shows a gained of 192,000 private sector jobs for January 2013. ADP December's reported 215,000 job gains were significantly revised downward by 30,000 to 185 thousand. Graphed below are the reported private sector jobs from ADP.
