Indian inundation, IndUS Business journal article, on a recent NSF study which says:

According to a recent study, Indians received 54 percent of the total number of H-1B visas approved in 2006.
China ranked second among temporary visas recipients, with just 9 percent. Several countries followed with only 3 percent each: Canada, South Korea, and the Philippines. Other countries mentioned in the report include Japan (2 percent), the United Kingdom (2 percent), Taiwan (1 percent), Pakistan (1 percent), Germany (1 percent), and Mexico (1 percent)

Note that the US press didn't cover this and it should be obvious from this statistic that India is using these Visas to capture the US STEM service sector.
